While we all like to have fun in the field and chase pheasants for miles, safety is one of the most important aspects. We promote and encourage hunter safety in the field. Hunter education classes show both youth and adults the proper way to hold and maneuver firearms, as well as practice proper gun care. At the Ringneck Rustlers Chapter, we believe it is essential for kids to become familiar with gun operation and be comfortable with handling their firearm. For more information on our youth hunts, please contact us through our website. If you are interested in enrolling yourself or your child in the Kansas hunter education course, please contact Daniel Clement.
The future of our sport relies on the next generation. Our chapter provides basic shotgun instruction and an introduction to upland game hunting in a safe, fun, and family friendly manner. Someone taught us all how to hunt, showed us where birds like to feed, and ultimately the ins and outs of bird hunting. These hunts facilitate that opportunity and showcase why our organization is important to the leaders of tomorrow.
This is a great opportunity to introduce yourselves to upland hunting! We provide the birds, firearms, ammunition, instructors, and private ground to get a perfect introduction into pheasant hunting. If you have never hunted before, this is a perfect way to get involved in a safe, controlled pheasant hunt that provides a real feel for the fun of chasing roosters.
Each year, the Ringneck Rustlers Chapter hosts an annual banquet to celebrate our heritage of upland game hunting and gather together in support of the future. Our annual banquet raises the funds necessary to have an impact on your outdoor community. The money raised from this banquet stays local to your area and makes it possible for our chapter to provide youth hunting and mentoring opportunities, habitat enhancement, and landowner education programs. Together, these programs ensure that the hunting opportunities of today are available tomorrow!
Our chapter enjoys forming bonds and friendships in the field, all in the efforts of conservation. From time to time, members get together as a group to hunt some pheasants in our great state of Kansas. Check out our collection of photos, from the photos of our members in the field, to our chapter events and hunts. There are even a few photos of our favorite hunting companions chasing some birds.
The Ringneck Rustlers Chapter hosts several conservation and education events every year. Please join us for opportunities to learn about land management, food plots, and cost share.
There is something for everyone at these events. Activities include safety instruction, BB gun ranges, pellot rifles, introduction to breaking clay targets, introduction to trap, introduction to skeet, and much more.
We pair mentors with inexperienced youth hunters in a hunt for live pheasants in a controlled environment. Participants receive shooting tips, dog training instructions and a chance to shoot live pheasants. All of the young hunters learn some of the finer skills of upland game hunting from our staff. Ringneck Rustlers Pheasants Forever is honored to carry on the passion for hunting to the next generation of hunters.
Join us for our monthly meetings. We discuss local habitat projects, youth events, annual banquet or other items related to Pheasants Forever and our local community in Kansas.
